For the Person Who Has Everything

There's a particular person — you have one in your life — who genuinely doesn't need anything. They buy what they want when they want it. Their shelves are full. Their kitchen is full. Their wardrobe is, if anything, too full. Giving them a 'thing' feels like adding to a problem.

Here's the reframe we keep coming back to: when someone has everything, give them an experience, a memory, or a small everyday upgrade they wouldn't have thought to buy for themselves.

Experiences work because they don't take up shelf space. A dinner reservation at the place they've been meaning to try. A membership to the botanical garden they walk past every weekend. A bottle of the wine you shared once, with a note saying where you'll drink it together.

Upgrades work because the 'good enough' version of an everyday object is rarely the version someone treats themselves to. The nice olive oil. The good socks. A fresh pair of the razor blades they've been putting off replacing. None of these are exciting — and that's exactly why they work.

What doesn't work, in our experience: 'novelty.' The funny mug, the personalized socks, the customized bobblehead. These read as 'I gave up.' They're for the giver, not the receiver.
